Established in 1874, Majors is the oldest retailer in Shrewsbury, now with three stores providing the highest quality brands for both men and women.
From our origins selling top hats, five generations of Majors have guided this distinguished family firm through 150 years of retail history and changing fashions.

Established in 1874, Majors is the oldest retailer in Shrewsbury. Becoming a part of the fabric of Shropshire with its existence spanning 150 years, through two World Wars and six monarchs. Majors has remained in a direct family line for five generations.
Starting as a hat shop, then a tailors making officers uniforms during the wars, to now selling high quality casual clothing for men and women.
